As you may have heard, I am now a person with three thousand friends.

I can’t even begin to describe to you how much achieving that milestone meant to me, as an introvert and as a person who always wanted to have lots of people around her. And since we’re still on the holiday season, let me tell you that you’re the gift that keeps on giving, in the best way possible.

To the people I already know and love (you know who you are), I love you dearly. None of this would be possible without you and without your support. You all have a friend for life.

And to my new friends, this might be an interesting post for you. This has been sitting on my drafts for a thousand years now, and now that we’ve reached a very important milestone for this writer, let me give you a little taste on what you probably missed.

This kind of made me the Anthony Bourdain girl of Substack for a couple of days. Man, I miss those days. This one is really important to me because it’s such a huge piece of my heart and it tells you what kind of person I am. And yes, I may be parasocial to you, but you’re mean. And that’s worse.

My former editor colleague once told me that I was a better writer when enraged. While I completely disagree, you can take a look at my pieces and articles full of drama and take your own conclusions. This one is a favorite amongst my friends.

They come back to it a million times and that’s the sweetest thing in the whole world. If you do this, I love you.

This one is also like a son to me. It was one of my first experiences with writing something vulnerable to the internet and I still read the comments of this post over and over again. The comments always make me super emotional. I love human connections. I’ll never get over this high.
