Very well done. I was thinking. Task one, completed by you, get the reader to think. I've been thinking about my legacy. If you cried during yours, I'm still looking. I wrote since I was able to know what writing was. As a child I write stories with crayons and staples to make my books. Then it went away. Well, packed it away. I just now reopened that box and as you know I'm writing again. I put together a small book of stories and poems. Me editing so it's rough. I'm writing two stories now with the one taking over. Amelie has taken over my brain and it's hard to stop writing for this character. Back to your work. You worked hard. School, work, the newsletter and keeping up with us readers of your work. You're good. Damn good. I hope I can be a percent as good. Someday, many dreams never grow. Like so many seeds that just never have the chance to show what they can do. You're sed is a mighty oak. You've done well. Enjoy Amanda you earned it. I'll fill in the cracks now.
I’ve been finding myself writing about loss and legacy so much lately and it all comes down to the same conclusion: everything that comes from the bottom of the heart, from the deepest parts of the soul stays here on earth, and it surely outlives us. It may not be something physical that we get to keep (like a gesture or a song) or we may not reach everyone in the world with our art by the time we pass, but someone was truly touched by it and someone will remember it forever. That’s the true meaning of legacy.
We don’t get to change what happened, but we can change the way we take someone’s legacy and carry it around, as we take so many lessons and stories from other people and kind of integrate them into our own lives, as writers.
We can definitely choose the way we remember someone, and this memory that goes beyond physical presence is what shapes who this person will be for those who will come after their passing and unfortunately won’t be able to meet them. That’s the powerful thing about memory and about human connections.
My conclusion is that memory is the most powerful kind of legacy someone can leave us, and your friend lives through you and through your words. I know your words and they’re beautiful enough to make someone live on forever ❤️
in a room full of silence the love around it crashes against the museum walls until YOU hear it !!! ❤️ your legacy is and will be love ! Beautiful piece ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much, Mark! This means the world to me, good luck with your stories, I’ve read some and they’re truly very good. 🥰✨🥹
First, love you. This is wonderful. Second, this is very timely for me. I just lost a friend this weekend to overdose. He was a musician.
