notes from: wuthering heights
it's me, i'm cathy!
stay close to the book!!!!!!!
“notes from:” is about reading as it happens: the phrases that stick, the moods around a book, the playlists on repeat, and the small rituals that form while turning pages. Whether you read constantly or just pick up a book now and then, this is a place for noticing.
reading is supposed to feel like part of your life, not a task.
Note for the reader:
Reading is SUCH a good part of my life, and documenting EVERYTHING is also a huge part of my life, so I thought merging these two things would be something you guys would enjoy.
I currently have a very busy life, and reading has been my escape from all the deadlines and such. I miss reading for fun! I feel like people take things too seriously and as someone who DOESN'T read for fun for a living as an academic, I miss staying close to a book because I enjoy it without overanalyzing every sentence of it. So I decided to create this little space to share with you. Vibes only.
I'm very inspired by this lovely girl named kaylee and her tiktok account, which I'll link below, and this will be kind of a monthly overall reading review, with vibes (at what time I usually used to read this book and do I recommend it), drinks of choice that I think match the vibe of the book, where I was reading it, what I was listening while reading it, and many more. It's like you're reading my annotations of the book, my reactions and whatnot, so that's why it's called “Notes from:”.
Enjoy! :)
